John Moorcroft twice UK Champion and safety diver for the event.

Thought the pool and facillities were great. Coverage in the local / nw press was great too both for our sport and hopefully for the aquatic centre in liverpool.

Steve Millard, UK squad member 2006, UK head coach 2008, competition organiser.

Hi Steve

One of the best pools I have 'competed' in, if not the best. Definitely the clearest water I have ever seen in the big pool….. staff very helpful,

Organisation was seamless. If I didn't know better I'd have thought that you and Stu did these every weekend.

Fantastic competition, very well run, and great atmosphere. Sound judging as well, with no disputes.

As for Dave's record, well that's the 2nd time I've seen him do that now, with a 60 metre ( and 6 year ) gap. Both have been electric to watch.

Well done to all involved.

I left wanting to come back again, so I think that says it all.

Georgina Miller, current UK Static record holder, athlete

Hi Steve,

I have been meaning to write to you to say thanks for organising such a great comp. It was a lovely atmosphere, ran totally without hitch and the facility was totally amazing. In fact I think it was the very best pool for any freedive comp that i have been to. The small pool was just the right temp and the 50m pool produced some fantastic results.

I think the fact that we saw so many personal bests and a couple of records to boot is testament to the organisers and facility.

Many thanks.

Hi Steve,

I'd like to say thanks to all involved for making my first competition so unthreatening, clear, calm and enjoyable. You really created an atmosphere where I felt comfortable and I was left wondering why I'd been nervous in the first place. Hope there is a 2nd one...

Best,

Edd Owen
