Apneists UK: Scotland
Scotland will soon
have a British Freediving Assocation affiliated club to oversee
Freediving activities in a number of areas in Scottish waters and
is going to be headed by experienced AIDA 4* Freediver Ivan Wooley
and is being supported by Will Meyalarp in Glasgow. Our ethos is
helping those around us to reach their potential and safe steady
progression through repetition, we want to see the opportunity for
those in Scotland to Freedive safely.
Although the two
divers running it are qualified and experienced, neither of them
are yet instructors so they don't offer any courses, all divers
must gain an AIDA qualification before joining us. This can be arranged
through our attached school www.freedivers.co.uk
you then have the option to come and train at our pool sessions
and Open water. If you are already qualified you can come and meet
up with us or we can arrange for you to continue your training.
We are diving Loch
Aline in Scotland but also Capernwray quarry in North England (less
than two hours from Glasgow) and the North Lakes in the Lake District.
Come and join the ranks!
